Like any nicely packaged win32 application, HTTPrecon can be installed and run using Linux.
Using BackTrack 5 as an example (tested also with Debian), download winetricks. CHMOD winetricks to be executable and run it, install additional windows DLL/component ‘vbrun6′ (mine was SP6).
Download, decompress HTTPrecon zip package and then “wine httprecon.exe” to run your HTTP service identification.
