Tips and Howtos:

1. How to check permissions for TripLogger.

a. Click on Security and Privacy.

d. Location and GPS are vital for getting a fix. Shared Files allows the export and Google Map to work.

2. How to access files in Shared Files/Misc?

a. Open File Manager (comes with BB10). Click on misc.

b. Click on tripLogger.

c. You should see your files inside.

3. How to view maps of recorded Trip?
*For the map to show up, there has to be at least 2 entries in the trip. If there is only 1, the map might not load.

a. Press (long press) the trip. You will see a bunch of icons. Slide up and down among them to see the description of what they do e.g. show a Google Map view.

b. You can also slide out the menu.

4. How to Pic Trip (record trip using photos - v1.1.1.0+)?

a. Click on "Pic Trip"

b. Provide a name (same like a normal trip).

c. Choose pictures (at least 2) or take pictures with camera. Press DONE to add into the trip, will come back to this screen again. CANCEL to complete the selection and go back to app.

d. After CANCEL is pressed, the confirmation will be displayed of how many pictures are processed. Note that the number is not indication of the result, depends on whether there is position information in your picture (and taken from the BB10 device).

e. The photo log will still look like any trip when listed with the others (non-photo).

f. The usual long press at the trip to show options to display the trip.

g. However the there will be a thumbnailed photo displayed along with the position information in the details view.

h. The Google Map is still the same. Future version will attempt to display the pictures inside the Google Map.

5. How to share "live!" trip to others (v1.1.1.1+)?

a. Enable Remote View.

b. Record a new trip. Once a location fix is obtained, the Share Live action button will be enabled.

c. Select preferred share target.

d. E.g. share to Facebook.

e. This is what others with the link will see on their browser. It will show your movement as you move, place a bouncing icon, a circle showing estimated accuracy and the path on the map.
